Pink Auto - A NULM New Initiative Launched on International Women's Day at Kunnamkulam Municipality

The new initiative of the NULM - Pink Auto has been launched on International Women's Day at Kunnakulam Municipality. The flag off of pink auto has done by Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt Seetha Raveendran. Pink Auto is the new SEP initiative of the NULM Scheme. Ms Sherly Suresh is the beneficiary who came forward by showing her interest to start Pink Auto. The handover of the key to Ms Sherly has done by Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt Seetha Raveendran. All the standing committee chairperson & chairman, councilors, municipal secretary Shri K.K Manoj, NULM City Project Officer Shri Lakshmanan K.S, Municipal Staffs, Kunnamkulam Tahasildhar Smt Brijakumari, CDS Chairpersons, NULM City Mission Manager Smt Simina M given the vote of thanks.
Highlights of Pink Auto Service
1. The SEP Beneficiary who is a Kudumbashree NHG Member is driving the vehicle.
2. 85% of the total project cost was received as bank loan and the remaining 15% contributed by the beneficiary
3. Fare meter has been installed , so no extra charges needed to be given
4. GPS is installed for ensuring safety travelling and navigation,
5. The parking for the vehicle is provided in municipal office parking area itself where the municipal staffs, officials and others can utilize the facility easily
6. The The first 6 months will be in the control of the NULM office .

Sanghadaka Samithi Yogam of Kudumbashree National Saras Mela 2019 inaugurated by Hon LSGD Minister Shri A.C Moidheen at Govt.Model Boys High School, Kunnamkulam. Different sub-committees has been formed under the leadership of Shri A.C Moidheen , Chairman of the Sanghadaka Samithi - Saras Mela 2019. All staffs , councilors , standing committee chairpersons of kunnamkulam municipality, block co-ordinators and all staffs from Thrissur Kudumbasree District Mission, All NULM & PMAY staffs, CDS chairpersons from municipalities, gramapanchayaths etc attended the meeting and all the committee and sub-committee members were given various duties with respect to the committees they were assigned for. The logo and facebook page of saras mela has been launched by Shri A.C Moidheen. Vote of thanks has been given by Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt. Seetha Raveendran, Vice Chairman Shri P.M Suresh, Municipal Secretary Shri K.K Manoj, Ward Councilors, District Mission Co-ordinator Shri Jyothish Kumar , AMDCs etc.

Saras Co-Ordination Committee Meeting

A Co-ordination Committee meeting for Desiya Saras Mela 2019 is scheduled to organize at Govt.Model Boys High School, Kunnamkulam on 03-03-2019. Minister of Local Self Government, Kerala Sri. A C Moideen will inaugurate the function and launching of official logo. The programme will be presided over by Jilla Panchayat President Smt. Mary Thomas. Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt. Seetha Raveendran will deliver welcome speech and Chief Operating Officer, NRLM Sri.Ajith Chacko will brief about the programme.

Meeting of Traditional Stone Sculpture Workers for starting an entreprise through NULM held at Kunnamkulam Municipality

A meeting of the traditional construction of stone sculpture workers of kunnamkulam municipal area was held at kunnamkulam municipality. NULM City Mission Manager Smt Simina M explained about the NULM Self-Employment Programme scheme for starting an entreprise in order to protect the stone sculpture industry in kunnamkulam which is about 200 years old and to improve & enhance their self-employment opportunities in this industry through NULM Project. Kunnamkulam Municipal Secretary Shri K.K Manoj also discussed the various schemes to sell their goods. Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt Seetha Raveendran discussed regarding the funding from the municipality. Mazhavillu 2019 - A get together of persons with disabilities in the kunnamkulam municipal area was conducted at kunnamkulam municipality on 24/02/2019. The function was inaugurated by Kunnamkulam Municipal Chairperson Smt. Seetha Raveendran . Vice Chairman Shri. P.M Suresh presided over the meeting. Standing committee chairpersons Suma Gangadharan, Misha Sebastian, Kunnamkulam Municipal Secretary Shri K.K Manoj, Councilors Shri K.A Aziz, Shri O.G Baji, Shri K.B Salim, Health Supervisor Shri K.S Lakshmanan, CDS chairperson Smt. Soumya Anilan, Smt. Shiji Nikesh, NULM City Mission Manager Smt Simina M has came up with felicitation speeches.
This new initiative has been started under the leadership of Kunnamkulam Municipal Secretary Shri. K.K Manoj. A new NHG named as Mazhavillu for the persons with disabilities in the kunnamkulam area has been formed as a part of the function.Kunnamkulam Municipality aims to provide better opportunities for skilled persons with disabilities and those who want to engage in various employment opportunities to develop skills needed for skill development and to encourage them to start entreprises in various sectors as well.
In the near future, the scheme will be allocated for the construction of the shelter home for the protection of the vulnerable. Around 48 persons participated in the function. Children and parents participated in various activities such as music, dance, painting, mimicry etc. Trophies were given to all the children who participated in the function.

Training on Gender Equality to Kudumbashree NHG members by Gender Resource Person at Kunnamkulam Municipality

A two day training on Gender Equality to Kudumbashree NHG members has been conducted from 17/02/2019 to 18/02/2019 at Conference Hall, Kunnamkulam Municipality. The Gender Resource Persons Mrs Reena & Mrs Rajasree took the classes on the subject gender equality. Around 100 NHG members from different NHGs participated in the classes.
