Laya Kudumbashree Womens Hostel is one new initiative from Kudumbashree as part of Kudumbashree NULM Programme. The hostel is situated in Kakkad, Thirurangadi. A group of 3 kudumbashree members are running this hostel and they are providing accomodation with food to the inmates. There are 4 rooms in hostel each includes 3 beds. There is no daily rental facility, only for monthly basis. For the initial capital for running this hostel, the members took 2 lakhs loan from Tirurangadi Service Co-operative Bank. The hostel is in Municiapal Chairperon's own ward and her extend support is highly remarkable.
