I went to plumbing works in nearby areas. One day my friend told me about this course and I decided to join. It was really a great experience for me. The course had changed my life a lot. I completed my 2 month class room training and appeared for interview which was conducted by our institution. I was selected in the interview conducted by the well reputed company EUREKA FORBES as there sales trainee at Rs.5000 per month and incentives. After 1 month Job Training period I got a chance to attend the interview of a famous company JOLLY SILKS and I was placed at Kollam as their sales man at salary of Rs 12500, free food and accommodation, PF, Bonus. Background:

My story is about struggle, love and pain. My name is Subin K.K. I am from Pavaratty, Thrissur. I have a small and lovely family with my father, mother and an elder sister who got married. My father was a labourer, a coconut tree climber by profession. My mother who is very innocent was not willing to go for any work outside. She couldn’t even travel without a companion. My parents were highly supportive to me. My brother-in-law was also very friendly.

I had completed my degree, but the result was disappointing. I failed in the exams. This brought a lot of sorrow to my home. My parents supported me, but it was me who was very much disappointed and sad. I felt that I have lost the last chance to get a good job. My sister’s marriage had brought financial burden in the family. This forced me to go for some work. So I joined for painting work.

I had a love affair from my plus two days. When my parents came to know about it they together decided to propose her and make an engagement. Thus we went to her house. But her parents rejected our proposal. They said that I have no permanent earning and they are not interested to marry her daughter to a labourer. I and my parents felt very bad and sad. But my girl was ready to wait for me until I manage to get a good job.

In the mean time my mother came to know about the DDU-GKY project through the Kudumbashree personals. She forced me to enquire about it. Thus I met Shafeeq Sir, block co-ordinator. He motivated me so much. Later we met Linesh Sir, Centre Head, Mega Industries, Kunnamkulam. He encouraged me to join the course and I joined for the trade Sales person (Retail).

The classes were beyond words. It was a new experience for me. Teachers were very friendly. Linesh Sir (Retail), Raji Miss (English and Soft skill), Sukesh Sir (Computer) were our teachers.

At the end of our training programme we were presented for various interviews. I was selected by Trichur Fashion Jewellers Trivandrum as salesman trainee with a salary of Rs.8500. My parents were not willing to send me in a far away place. I was totally confused so I made them interact with my teachers. I had the confidence that they can demolish my parents’ fears. Luckily my parents gave me the permission to go, hence I joined on 1 April 2016 for my new job.

It was a risky job, but I was given training to handle difficult situations. I got a good amount of incentive. After one year I got an offer from abroad as salesman trainee so I discontinued my job. Now my marriage is fixed with my girl and I am going to abroad on January 12th. It is all because of DDU-GKY project. Thank you very much. Background:

I am Sujin A R, from Pazhanji, Thrissur. I am blessed with a small and lovely family including my father, mother and brother. I would say that my life has two phases before joining DDU-GKY project and after that. My life was really cloudy before I joined the DDU-GKY project. I was a middle bencher at my school days. My father is a porter at our town and my mother is a helper for a mason. My brother is a handicapped person who is a student.

I was very shy by my nature. I couldn’t even talk with strangers. Being elder son of my parents I knew that I have lot of responsibilities. But I thought that can’t fulfill them. I had failed in my plus two exams. My failures coloured my thoughts and I started thinking myself that I was a fellow good for nothing. I remained at home after my failure in plus two exams. My parents were worried about my character.

My mother told about me at her work place to her friends. One of them suggested her to meet our Kudumbashree personals to enquire about DDU-GKY project. My mother was attracted to the better jobs they offer even for the plus two failed candidates. They introduced us to Mega Industries, Kunnamkulam.

I joined in the first batch of Mega Industries, Kunnamkulam for the trade sales person (Retail). I was very much afraid about the classes, but my teachers demolished my fears. It was not a mere typical classroom. Teachers were very friendly. Linesh Sir (retail), Raji Miss (English and Soft skill), Sukesh Sir (computer application) were our teachers. Classes were as simple as even a back bencher can easily understand.

I was not selected in the first few interviews which Mega industries arranged for us at the end of our course. Finally I got selected as sales trainee at Nandilath Electronics, Kunnamkulam with a salary of Rs.7500. My job was very interesting and felt comforting. I joined for my job on 20 June 2016.

My father was suffering from health issues and he could not go for his work regularly. My brother’s education was about to stop because of the financial problems. My brother was about to join for degree. I promised my father that I shall look after the expense for the education of my brother.

Now we are really happy. I bought some small home appliances for my home. Thanks to all officers of DDU-GKY project and also to all my teachers.

As per my needs I chose Electricals . I was very silent in nature am didn’t talk too much with friends. I feel shy to perform any activities in class. I always hid my face to others. After completion of several classes my attitude began changing. I started doing all activities and become very friendly to all. Previously, my communication was very poor and after several classes I improved a lot. Now am very active and smart. I am working in L&T,Coimbatore. I am very glad that got a job as per my wish.
