Pandalam is a municipal town in Kerala, India. Among the fastest growing towns, Pandalam is considered a holy town due to its connection with Lord Ayyappa and Sabarimala. It is also a renowned educational and health care centre in central Travancore. Rightly recognised as the educational and cultural headquarters of Central Travancore, Pandalam hosts educational institutions ranging from reputed schools to post graduate, training, ayurveda and engineering colleges.

As per SECC data of pandalam local body there are 334 households with total 13361 members and  spitup detasils of 6342 males and 7019 females 

Housing Profile

As per census 2011 there are 1032 families as houseless. It is a severe issue addressing in PMAY. Migration of people from other states and other parts of districts are increasing the number of homeless.It is also pertinent to note that the census has been conducted when Pandalam local body was a panchayath. As per the PMAY survey 928 families in 33 division was houseless. 674 selected in BLC N DPR, 93 landless houseless in PMAY and 321 landless houseless both of the beneficiaries included in AHP project, 53/84 LIFE land with houseless beneficiaries included in PMAY.
