Syndromic Surveillance program -Periodic pre-designed surveys through trained Resource Persons

 

Kudumbashree, Health department, and Woman child department are doing a converged syndromic surveillance program in elders amid COVID 19. In this program, the selected resource persons from Kudumbashree and Anganwadi teachers of the women and child department will phone call each elder and ask some questions related to COVID 19 symptoms, need of food, shortage of medicine, and problem on mental health. For COVID 19 symptoms, short of medicine, problem on mental health, resource person will inform the health department through ASHA. If there is a need for food or any other related issues, the Rapid Response team and panchayat will support it. Now, there are 4951 Anganwadi teachers as well as 1059 Kudumbashree resource persons engaged in this program. Master trainers train resource persons before get engages. They are monitoring in Block, District, State levels through coordinators. The Data for calling the Elders collected by the Woman and Child Department. This program has rolled out from 22 June 2020. The financial support of Rs.10,65000 has given by the health department for the resource persons of Kudumbashree.
