Kudumbashree is engaged in the implementation of various poverty eradication programmes and of socioeconomic, developmental programmes of LSGs and Government departments through the community network. It is, therefore, necessary to augment and improve the skills and knowledge of Kudumbashree network leaders, office bearers, elected representatives, entrepreneurs, line department officials, resource persons etc. for a better social engineering and development process.

As part of this capacitation programmes, a two-day residential workshop (Phase I) is scheduled for 25th – 30th July 2017 at Trivandrum, Kollam, Ernakulam and Kannur districts. Four members from each Local Self Government (LSG) ie, LSG President, Welfare Standing Committee Chairperson/Chairman, Kudumbashree CDS Chairperson and Member Secretary will participate in the workshop. The workshop schedule is given below;

2017 July 25-26:

Kollam - Christu Jyothis Animation Centre, Kottiyam (Participants from TVM District)

Ernakulam - Santhigiri Convention Centre, Aluva (Participants from ALP District)

Kannur - Yamunatheeram Training Centre, Pilathara (Participants from MLP District)

2017 July 27-28:

• ACSTI- Manvila- Thiruvananthapuram

 Kudumbashree is planning to conduct Vulnerability Mapping in 140 CDS from all 14 districts in this financial Year. as part of this a State level training on Vulnerability Mapping is decided to conduct from  2017 July 24th to 29th at Agricultural Co-operative Staff Training Institute (ACSTI), Manvila, Thiruvanthapuram.

Following are the dates allotted for districts

2017 July 24th & 25th - Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam and Thiruvanthapuram

2017 July 26th & 27th - Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam, Idukki and Kottayam

2017 July 28th & 29th - Kasargod, Kannur, Kozhikod, Wayanad and Malappuram

2 Core team members from a districts and 2 Gender RPs from each selected CDS for vulnerability Mapping (Total 22 RPs from a district).

As part of Kudumbashree training for LSG representatives (Samanwayam 2017) a State level TOT programme for the selected resourse persons will be held on 20th & 21st July 2017 at 10:00 AM in the conference hall, Maria Rani Centre Sreekaryam, Thiruvananthapuram. Selected resourse persons from the districts will participate in the TOT.

Jeevanam 2017 Livelihood Campaign Inauguration by Hon.Minister for LSGD at Panchayat Association Hall, Trivandrum. 

• Maria Rani Training Centre, Sreekaryam,Trivandrum

Kudumbashree is organising a workshop for Micro Enterprise Consultants as part of Jeevanam livelihood campaign inorder to strengthen the MEC sector. Main sessions includes class regarding Goods and Service Tax, Motivation, Counceling, Gender sesitisation and Experience sharing. 

• Mariyarani Centre, Trivandrum

Three day workshop for the Jharkhand Mentors is conducted from 18th to 20th of July 2017. Kudumbashree has MoU with Jharkhand State Rural livelihood Mission for implementing the PRI-CBO Convergence project. In the current years Kudumabshree NRO will be working in thirty six Blocks across ten Districts in Jharkhand.

Kudumbashree School - A training programme to create awareness among the Kudumbashree NHG members about their social responsibilities and improve their standard of living through knowledge. Under the programme over 43 lakh Kudumbashree NHG members would be given training on various subjects.

To develop a training module for the above said Kudumbashree School training, a one-day workshop will be held on 13th July 2017 at 10:00 AM in the conference hall, Kudumbashree State Mission office, Thiruvananthapuram. Selected Resource Persons from the districts will participate in the workshop.

• Chamber of LSGD Principal Secretary, Government of Kerala.

The State Level Co-ordination Committee (SLCC), which approves the new projects under DDU-GKY is holding its meeting on 11th July, 2017 under the chairmanship of Prinicipal Secretary, LSGD.

As part of organisation strengthening programmes, a two-day residential training for LSG representatives and CDS is planned for the financial year 2017-2018.

To develop a training module for the above said training, a two-day workshop will be held on 07-08 July 2017 at 10:00 AM in the conference hall Maria Rani Centre Sreekaryam, Thiruvananthapuram. Selected Resource Persons from the districts will participate in the workshop.

 Two day Workshop for Standardising the Book Keeping process in ME sector is scheduled at Maria Rani Training Center , Trivandrum.

The three tier Kudumbashree general election processes will be conducted once in three years. The next Kudumbashree election should be completed by the month of December and January. A subcommittee of the Governing body is constituted to modify the existing byelaw through an intense, interactive and consultative process.

As part of byelaw modification a one day workshop to review the existing bylaw will be held on 22.06.2017 at 10:00 AM in the conference hall Maria Rani Centre Sreekaryam, Thiruvananthapuram. Two Selected CDS Chairpersons from each district, experienced selected member secretaries and Returning officers who have conducted Kudumbashree election in 2014 will participate in the workshop. The Kudumbashree GB Subcommittee will consider the suggestions of this workshop.
