In order to tap the opportunities in construction sector, and to assist poor families to complete construction of their houses in quick time, and to provide an income for the women enterprise groups, Kudumbashree formed women construction groups and provided training. As of today 261 women construction groups has been functioning across the state which has become a livelihood for 2231 members. Each group was able to complete one house under various housing schemes and as of today completed 173 houses and 98 groups have started constructing second house. Kudumbashree aims to form these units as 'Micro Contracting Construction Groups' who are capable of undertaking various construction projects under Local Self Government Institutions.

ARISE Multi Task Teams

The Mission conducted a survey to analyze the skill gap of the state after post floods in 2018.  The objective is to explore the opportunities in employment so that potential employment can be generated in the identified sectors.  The survey highlighted the areas of Plumbing, Electronic Repair, Electrical Work, Electronics repair, Masonry and Carpentry have more demand after flood. The Mission has initiated a skill programme named ARISE ('ARISE'- Acquiring Resilience and Identity through Sustainable Employment) in sectors like Plumbing, Electronic Repair, Electrical Work, and  intend to train 50,000 persons in these sector based on their interest and to provide employment to them to start micro enterprise units or to form Multi task teams in all LSGs . The districts have empanelled Govt. ITIs, Polytechnic colleges and accredited private training agencies in these fields.
The project trained 3000 members in multiple areas like Plumbing, Electronics repair, Electrical work, essential Masonry etc till date across the state. 90 Multi task teams have been formed and started functioning in 60 Panchayaths. The mission has conducted a state level workshop in the last month for discussing the next level activities of these Multi task teams.
