Anthoor has separated from Taliparamba and formed neu ULB on 30/04.2015.Anthoor ia a place having in village in nature.anthoor municipality having total area of 24.84 sq .km.Anthoor geography is aregion comprising hills,agricultural land, valleys, plain land and rest of the area is waterlocked. It is situated in both side of NH 66 and Dharmasala is the prominent place in anthoor municipality and it contains many major educational institutuions like NIFT, Kannur University, Govt.Engg college etc.
