Background:

Life is what you make it, the choices you make in it, deal with them. I’m extremely happy to make the best choice and find myself a perfect track to a better life along with my family that consist my father who is a mechanic by profession, my mother who is a home maker and a younger brother who is still a student.

I had completed my higher secondary education and joined for a diploma course in CAAD. It wasn’t easy for me to find a job and I was worried. My mother who is a member of the Kudumbashree came to know about the Central Government project DDUGKY. We were impressed with the presentation done by Mega Industries during a mobilization campaign. Thus I decided to join for it and joined in the fourth batch for the course Retails Sales Person.

It was a very new experience for me to have such a wonderful class. Teachers were very friendly and the entire environment was so comforting. Manu sir and Rejitha miss (retail), Raji miss (English and soft skill) and Neenu miss (computer) were our teachers who demolished our fear to face someone. They were enriched with their subject knowledge.

We were taken for interviews at the end of our course. I attended an interview in Life Style at Sobha City Thrissur. Luckly I was selected for a salary of Rs.10500. I and my family was very happy and we enjoyed the moment. I joined there on 1 August 2016 and worked almost eight months and joined for my next job on 6 March 2017 in Allen Solly at Sobha City.

DDUGKY project has really helped me in changing my entire life conditions. In this occasion I would like to render my heartfelt gratitude to all personals of DDUGKY and my dear teachers who always stood my side and helped me in making a change. Ones again thanking you all.

Godson Poduthashails from a poor family in the suburbs of Kochi. After completing his twelth standard, Godson was not having a proper vision. Even though he was brilliant and smart , there was nobody to guide him and he was working all odd work for his livelihood. His father is a carpenter and mother housewife was finding hard to meet both ends of family. Through Kudumbashree, he came to know about DDUGKY programme and joined KITES Softwares Pvt.
