In 2015, Kudumbashree’s National Resource Organisation commissioned a team of consultants comprising of Sajith S, Beena G and Kannan T to chronicle the history, evolution, systems, processes, initiatives and learnings of Kudumbashree. Detailed interviews, field visits, archival research and digital production by the team have contributed to the creation of ‘The Kudumbashree Story’ web portal. The portal is an endeavour to preserve the institutional memory and document the organic evolution of a movement by delving into its eventful, layered past. Some of the useful features of the website include sections on government orders, reports, academic monographs and videos on Kudumbashree.

On the occasion of the launch of ‘The Kudumbashree Story’ portal, a panel discussion on ‘Kudumbashree: The Road Ahead’ was held to explore the evolution, significance and future of the Kudumbashree movement. The event was a platform for policy makers, development practitioners, scholars, activists, journalists and members from local communities to engage in a dialogue that generates diverse ideas on the way forward for Kudumbashree.

Eminent individuals such as Prof. Mridul Eappen (Member of Kerala State Planning Board), Smt. K Beena (journalist), Dr. J Devika (Associate Professor, Centre for Development Studies, Thiruvananthapuram) and Smt. Bindu Prakash (CDS Chairperson of Ummannoor Gram Panchayat) participated in the panel discussion.

NABARD, in its endeavour to promote Micro finance movement and to recognise excellence in the sector, have instituted a State Level Award for Best Performance under SHG Bank linkage programme. Vazhikadavu CDS of Malappuram District and Tripunithura CDS of Ernakulam district have been selected, under the CDS category of NABARD’s Annual State Level Awards for Best Performance under SHG Bank Linkage Programme 2015-16.

The formal inaguration of the Statewide Drawing Workshop by Hon'ble Minister for Social Welfare will take place on the 13th of January 2017 at the Aspinwall House, Kochi.

• Kannakakunnu Palace, Thiruvananthapuram

The Kudumbashree NRO Mentor’s Meet was kicked off on 8 January, 2017 in Trivandrum, Kerala. The meet came to a close with an exhibition that was held on  12 January, 2017 at Kannakakunnu Palace. Art work featuring cartoons, posters, photos and information on KS-NRO's interventions in other States were showcased at the event. The artwork at the exhibition was developed by the mentors with support from artists from College of Fine Arts, Trivandrum and young professionals working with KS-NRO.

The Honourable Minister for LSGD, Shri KT Jaleel and Mr. Harikishore, IAS,  Executive Director, Kudumbashree spoke at the event. Subsequently, mentors shared their professional experiences before the audience.
