Kerala' first ever 'Life' House build by Kudumbashree Construction team

Construction of Kerala's first ever LIFE house by kudumbashree members are progressing at Pallipad panchyath in Alappuzha District.The House is constructing as part of the construction training.

Samagra Vikasana Padathy - Initiative under Scheduled Tribe point Activity District Kudumbashree Mission Alleppey

An initiative under Scheduled Tribal entry point Activity, District Kudumbashree Mission Alleppey, A convergence programme has been initiated for the welfare of the ST women in Alleppey district. Hon'ble Finance Minister Dr. Thomas Isaac has inaugurated it by giving the first lecture. The official inauguration was done by Mr. R. Nasar, Coir Corporation Chairman. This is a month training programme and after successful completion of this, the women will be employed in Coir Board. in the first stage 28 women from ST community are admitted into this course. This programme willl benefit 859 ST families in the district.

Ujjwala- special neighbourhood groups (ayalkoottam)

A special neighbourhood group named Ujjwala has been formed under Gender self-learning process, Alappuzha District. This iniative will benefit the women and children in the district who are affected by HIV. The women will be grouped into various special Neighbourhood groups (ayalkoottam) and the children will be grouped into special Balasabhas. This iniative will benefit about 278 HIV infected women and about 40 children in the district. There are also various programmes targetted for the empowerment under this genre.

Sahavarthithwam - A special Programme

Honoured 970 Men in ADS level. ADS committy members selected one or two 'women friendly' Men Activist at ward level aiming men & women participation in Kudumbashree programmes and also in all social development activities.These selected men also joined as a part in our Vigilant group also.

Ente Amma -Honouring mother in-laws-Sharing a day in ADS meeting with them

Conducted Ente Amma Programme in 978 ADSs as a part of women'S day SPECIAL INITIATIVE. To make a unity of two women in the family set up.To ensure them the need to stand with each other, to raise a hand for her safety,to advocate for their rights. It's aim is to make a raising hand & Voice for her safety from inside the Premises rather than from out sides. All the mother in-laws enjoyed the day and declared their full support for their daughter in-laws for participating Kudumbashree meetings. So many unforgetable scenes happened like Hugs,kisses,forgiveness,Acceptances.

Ariyanum Prayanum

The flagship initiative of Kudumbashree Alappuzha is to map out steps for addressing the deficiencies in our system and strengthening of Kudumbashree NHG networks, Also this campaign is an attempt to Implement more effective programmes in field level.

Joint Placement Programme (JPP)

The flagship convergence initiative of Kudumbashree - DDU GKY Alappuzha designed to provide fine placement opportunity for households of Kudumbashree family group students who wished to pursue a professional career in IT /Private industries through cluster or nuclear placement drives. This is fully on convergence mode where - the beneficiaries are identified through our organization division and placed through DDU GKY programme and it had a dual focus: development of a sense of alternatives by raising their level of educational and career aspirations.

Exposure Visit for DMMU Unit

DDU GKY Alappuzha focuses through the exposure visits to enable stakeholders to interact with and learn from others, allowing them to view practical examples in the field. We believe this visit will enhance the understanding of local issues, by visiting the training centres and interacting with key stakeholders. This firsthand experience from the field will support participatory planning during the programme development.

Monthly Industrial Visit

DDU GKY Alappuzha designed Regular IV Sessions for our team with an aim to go beyond academics; IV’s provides us a practical perspective on the world of work. It gives an excellent opportunity to interact with industries and know more about industrial environment. Through this we focuses to explore the possibilities of industry association with DDUGKY programme to create more effective & sustainable livelihood opportunities.

Mini Placement Drives

The Alappuzha - Kudumbashree DDUGKY DIVISION is happy to announce the successful completion of the 1st phase mini placement drive exclusively for the Kudumbashree households. Job Fair with Star Health Insurance group has been organized on 18th July 2017 Tuesday at Municipal Town Hall Alappuzha. Registration started at 8.30 AM onwards. The official inauguration has done by Shri G.VENUGOPAL (district panchayat president Alappuzha). Overall 132 students got registered. Local unemployed youth and Final Year Student belonging to the K - SHREE family of Northern and Southern region of Alappuzha such as - Ambalapuzha, Aryad and Thycattussery blocks participated in the Job Fair.Over all 132 students attended for Job Fair, from among them 70 students were short listed finally 45 students got selected.

Workshop on Skill development and Kudumbashree for School Students

The training-workshop took place on 15TH July 2017 Saturday at the K.K.M. Govt. V.H.S.S, Elippakulam (K Karunakaran Memorial Higher Secondary School) around 70 kilometers south of Alappuzha. The participants were students and teachers from different higher secondary schools. The main focus of the workshop was to create awareness on skill development through Kudumbashree. The workshop was opened with an ice-breaker, along with an aim to motivate schools to adopt health promoting policies through initiatives as increase in physical activity among students, to follow healthy lifestyles on preventing NCDs Non-Communicable Diseases from early age in school. Overall the workshop was motivational, inspiring, communicative and effective. It was amazing and wonderful experience.

Moonlight - Flash Mob

Initiative was organized by the DDUGKY Alappuzha division to commemorate Youth skill day. A bunch of students stood up for the cause of Women empowerment and performed a flash mob in Aleppy seashore. The entire performance consisted of a choreographed dance sequence which promotes importance of skill development, and a skit which highlighted the grave situation faced by women in the country, and our commitment as responsible citizens to set it right. The flash mob was greatly appreciated by viewers at the place it was performed, and received extensive media coverage as well. Kudos to our district team for pulling off such an amazing feat.

Exclusive awareness (OVG) camps

Kudumbashree DDUGKY Alappuzha division has organizing frequent workshop for “Ashrya” Households in and around the district. The objective of these camps is to begin the interface with most deserving community, rapport building with community members and developing understanding of long term institutional relation with the community and contribution to the upliftment of people therein through us. So far 5 -“Ashrya” Households training under DDUGKY programme.

Sensitization workshop

Kudumbashree DDU GKY Alappuzha division conducted single day first phase Workshop on June 29th, 2017 Thursday at Alappuzha for generating larger awareness on Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU GKY) for elected representatives in the district. The workshop brochure was sent to various elected representatives in district through post as well as e-mail. 80 delegates registered and actively participated in this workshop. The long term expected result of the training programme is to enhance good service practices with different stakeholders those who were associated with us.

Vishukaineettam-2017

Kudumbashree Alappuzha District mission decided to offer 'Vishukaineettam' by visiting all the beneficiaries of Asraya at their doors on April 14. Hon.Minister Sri. T. M. Thomas Issac participated in this programme and offered vishuksineetam to distitute couple. Smt.Prathibha Hari MLA also participated in the programme at Thakazhi. Kudumbashree District Mission extends its Hearty Congratulations to all the CDS Chairpersons, Accountants, CDS, ADS and NHG office bearers and members of Kudumbashree who made our programme " Vishukineettam to Asraya Beneficiaries" a successful achievement.The role of the Supporting Staff and DMT who had given special charge to various CDSs and Blocks is highly remarkable in the glorious achievement.
